OfficeLive Code Generator (Free Software)
This website will be shutting down in February 2012, this is due to an un-announced shutdown
of OfficeLive.com. Although they have not officialy notified anyone of
the shutdown, It will affect thousands of Small Business users of
OfficeLive.
Office Live Head Code Generator is an application for owners of Office Live websites, The application assists with inserting Authentication codes that the major search engines require during website submission.
This program took about 12 hours to make from start to finish! I wrote
it for users of Office.Live.com, so they can get website reporting
features available from Live.com, Google.com, and Yahoo.com!
INSTRUCTIONS BELOW THE IMAGES
The current Version is 1.0.0.3. If you've downloaded a previous version then the output code will not work! The output in this new version has been tested and works fine, The "Copy output to Clipboard" button now works as well!

After clicking "Save Settings" you will be ready to generate the code that you will need to enter into the keywords section of your sites main page!

First I would like to note a few things. I have just tested this code and it works fine, but I have been getting reports that it is not working for some people. OfficeLive limits how many characters you can enter into the keywords and description sections of the page properties. So here are some instructions
- from your website manager, click "Properties" for your sites main page.
- from the properties page that will pop up, click the "Search Engine Optimization" tab
- within the "Keyword meta tags:" text box, AFTER your keywords, paste the code that has been generated.
- click "Apply"
- click "OK"
- go back to Google and try to re-verify your site
If that does not work, your Google code may have a + (plus symbol) or a - (minus symbol) within it. You will need to do the following:
- replace the - (minus symbol) with %2D
- replace the + (plus symbol) with %2B
There may be other symbols that OfficeLive does not like. Note that the codes are ASCII HEX number codes. for a complete list see http://www.asciitable.com/ their abbreviation for hex is under the "Hx" heading of the chart.
I would also like to note that as of yet I have received 1 donation within the past 3 years of having this software up. And I will no longer develop software for OfficeLive users unless I get a few donation to continue its support as I have moved on to more rewarding projects.
